Woody Doane
Woody Doane, professor of sociology and associate dean for academic administration, Hillyer College, gave a talk, “Looking Ahead: The Evolution of Whiteness and Color-Blind Racism,” at the Abiel Smith School and Museum of Afro-American History in Boston on June 22.

In the talk, Doane discussed both the main lessons from past studies of whiteness and the likely future evolution of color-blind racism. Doane’s talk was followed by an hour-long discussion of racial politics in the United States.

The event was sponsored by Community Change, Inc., an organization that has promoted racial justice and equality in the Boston area since the 1960s.
