Turn It Off!

One of the most effective things you can do to prevent hackers from breaking into your computer is also one of the simplest.
Just shut it off when you’re not using it.
The third in a series of articles by the Department of Information Technology Services (ITS) explains why it is no longer a good idea to leave your computer on 24 hours a day. The ITS articles are designed to give you the information you need to improve the security of your computers and data.
