Passover Seders and Other Upcoming Hillel Events

President Walter Harrison and his wife, Dianne, will host the annual first night of Passover Seder on Wednesday, April 8, starting at 7 p.m. at the Gray Conference Center (1877 Club, Room D).

Following is the Hartford Hillel schedule of events for the month of April.

Monday, April 6, Chocolate Seder
6:00 p.m., Meet in Gengras North Cafe and enjoy a fun Seder filled with chocolate! Register online at www.hartfordhillel.org.

Wednesday, April 8, Passover Seder
6:30 p.m., Come and join Hillel in the 1877 Club, Room D, for a Passover Seder lead by President Walter Harrison. Register online at www.hartfordhillel.org.

Monday, April 13, to Wednesday, April 15, Kosher for Passover Dinners
6:30 p.m., Come and join Hillel for delicious dinners. PLEASE sign up on the Hillel website at www.hartfordhillel.org.

Tuesday, April 21, Yom HaShoah Holocaust Memorial
- 6:45 p.m., Come and join Hillel and the Judaic Studies Department at the Sherman Museum of Jewish Civilization for the opening of the new exhibit called “Secret Flame of Hope: An Exhibition by Israeli Artist and Holocaust Survivor, Motke Blum.

- 7:30 p.m. Following the exhibit opening, Hillel will present it’s Yom HaShoah Ceremony performed by students and community members.

- 8 p.m. Rabbi Lazowski will be speaking about his Holocaust experience. Rabbi Lazowski is an active member of the Greater Hartford Jewish Community, he serves on community boards and is the author of six books. He will be sharing his story of arriving in Brooklyn, New York in 1947 after surviving the Holocaust by hiding for almost 3 years in the White Russian woods.

Monday, April 27, Torah On Tap
7:00 p.m., Meet in Hillel and we will carpool to Wood N’ Tap for appetizers and a conversation with Professor Avi Patt.

Tuesday, April 28, Israeli Bedouin Tent Party
7:30 p.m., Come join Hillel and Miri for a dance party in the Konover Great Room.

Also come to the Hillel Campus Center every Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for Ask the Rabbi with Rabbi Seth Nadel. He will be there to answer any of your questions.

DON’T FORGET…We do it every Friday Night. Come to Hillel Fridays at 7:00 p.m. for Conservative and Reform services, followed by Shabbat kosher dinner. Look out for our theme Shabbats that are coming up.
