Columnist Writes About Success of University High School

President Walter Harrison was mentioned in Stan Simpson’s column in the Hartford Courant on April 1. Harrison talked about the success of students at the University High School of Science and Engineering. Simpson wrote that partnering universities with high schools is a “promising trend in college preparatory training.” Read the column on courant.com.
Harvey Jassem, an associate professor in the School of Communication, was interviewed for “Beat the Press,” a show that airs on WGBH-TV in Boston. Jassem talked about recent changes at the Hartford Courant and WTIC-TV. The show is scheduled to air on Friday, April 3, at 7 p.m. A clip will be available at beatthepress.org.
Natasha Ulyanovsky, a faculty member in The Hartt School’s vocal studies department, was featured in The New Britain Herald on March 29. Ulyanovsky is part of a duo called Alla Breve Opera, which tries to make opera more mainstream. Read the article on newbritainherald.com.
