Students Inducted into History Honor Society

Fourteen new members were inducted into the University’s chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society, at a ceremony on Tuesday, May 5, at the 1877 Club.

The ceremony was part of the A&S History Department’s end-of-the-year celebration to honor history majors who will be graduating this year, along with the new inductees of Phi Alpha Theta.

To gain membership into the society, students must have a GPA of at least 3.1 in history and overall GPA of at least 3.0

Professor of History Steven T. Rosenthal is the faculty advisor to the campus chapter and Professor Warren Goldstein is chair of the department.
