Some of the items that were collected and donated to charity during last year's “Stash It, Don't Trash It” campaign.
Once again this year, the University community will be collecting useable furniture, food, clothing, and appliances that students would otherwise throw out when they move out of their residence halls and leave campus for the summer.

The collected items will be dispersed to food banks and charities or sold at bargain prices to the University community, and the raised money will be given to charities or other nonprofit organizations.

This year's "Stash It, Don't Trash It" collection is made possible by the generous loan of a trailer from Fallon Moving and Storage in Windsor, which will be parked in Lot N after Friday, May 8.

We will collect items on Sunday, May 10 (1-5 p.m.); Wednesday, May 13 (9 a.m.-1 p.m.); and Sunday, May 17 (1-5 p.m.).

We need volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, donate some items, or just learn more about our efforts, please go to our webpage at http://uhaweb.hartford.edu/uhdonates/.
