Alumna’s Family to Give Away 1,000 Pearl Necklaces to Military Wives, Mothers

Sharran Selig, a 1969 graduate of Hartford College for Women, was quoted on WFSB, Channel 3, in connection with a giveaway of pearl necklaces to 1,000 wives and mothers whose loved ones are serving in the military and can’t be with them on Mother’s Day.
The Selig family is giving away the necklaces on Saturday at Bill Selig Jewelers, located in Simsbury and Windsor, Conn. The giveaway, which will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at both stores, is designed as a way of thanking military families for their sacrifices.
