Hartt Community Division Sets Audition Dates

The Dance Division of The Hartt School Community Division will hold an open house and placement auditions on Monday, Aug. 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Hartford Courant Arts Center, 224 Farmington Ave, Hartford.
Auditions for all pre-college ensembles in music and theatre will be held throughout the day on Sunday, Sept. 11, at The Hartt School on the university’s West Hartford campus.
This fall, the Community Division opens a new satellite at Simsmore Square on Route 10 in Simsbury, offering dance, early childhood music and private music lessons for individuals of all ages and experience levels.
Adults interested in music may participate in the Community Division’s New Horizons Band for wind and percussion players over age 45 or in the Adult String Ensemble for adult string players at a beginning to intermediate level of playing.
