Premiere of Hartt Professor's Work Featured in Bristol Press
Robert Carl, professor of composition and music theory at The Hartt School, was featured in the Bristol Press on May 12. The Nutmeg Symphony Orchestra will premiere Carl's piece "A Matter of Scale" this weekend. Carl tells the paper "I'm thrilled that it's finally being given its premiere. The University's Educational Main Street (EMS) was mentioned in the Hartford Business Journal's "The Nonprofit Scoop" column on May 11. EMS recently received a $25,000 donation from The Hartford. Mary Christensen, director of EMS, was quoted in the paper, saying "This generous gift from The Hartford will provide materials and staff for our after-school programs in the Greater Hartford area."
