All are invited to May's Women's Wednesday program on May 27 from 12 noon-1 p.m. This program, sponsored by the Women's Education and Leadership Fund (WELFund), will take place in the Henry Roberts Room, Auerbach Computing and Administration Building.
WELFund grantee Erin Striff, associate professor of English, will give a talk entitled "Women: Get Fit, Have Fun." Striff will talk about finding a fitness outlet that’s right for you and how physical exercise can help you relax more, work better, and even have more energy.
Not sure where to start or what to do? Team Training New England Coaches Lynne Tapper and Janice Cohen will talk about how they train women from all levels of fitness to compete in their first triathlon. Why do they do it? How do they do it? Might you be interested in doing it? As the Team Training NE webpage says, You'll never know until you TRI!
Whether or not you are triathlon-ready, join with colleagues and friends in a kick-off to summer, and celebrate how physical fitness can create community amongst women! We’ll offer light refreshments, and friends both on and off campus are welcome to join us.
