First-Year Student Profiled in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Student Jeremy Ernstoff was profiled in the May 13 edition of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Ernstoff, who has Asperger's syndrome, talked about his first year at the University of Hartford. He said "I enjoy the campus immensely...I feel I made the right choice; I made the right choice to go away from home." Read the rest of the article on post-gazette.com.
The Hartford Courant's iTowns section on May 31 devoted an entire page to the University's Commencement ceremony. Photos of graduate Maegen Garthwaite and faculty members Karen Lucas Breda, Michael F. Robinson and Katie Stevinson-Nollet were featured along with paragraphs detailing the honors they received during the ceremony.
Demetrios Giannaros, professor of economics in the Barney School of Business, was interviewed for a story that aired during Fox 61's 10 p.m. newscast on June 1. Giannaros talked about the recent issue of the Hartford Advocate, much of which was outsourced to India. To watch the story, go to fox61.com/news and type "advocate" in the video search box.
Giannaros was also a guest on WTIC-AM's "Mornings with Ray Dunaway" on June 3. Giannaros talked about the government's takeover of General Motors.
A story about University High School of Science and Engineering students demonstrating the physics lessons they had learned, through the water cannons and launchers that they had built to shoot water balloons at their teacher, was featured on NBC 30 during its Monday, June 1, evening newscast and again on its morning newscast on Tuesday, June 2.
