Many of you have had the pleasure of working with Catherine Stevenson throughout her 31-year career at the University of Hartford. Catherine's commitment to the University has been shown through her many roles and positions, including that of an outstanding faculty member, Chair of the English Department and Assistant Provost and
Dean of Faculty.
In 1991, Catherine was instrumental in the creation of the Univerity's Honors Program. She currently serves as Academic Dean of the Honors Program and runs the Undergraduate Research Colloquium. Catherine played a key role in the development of the University's nationally recognized First-Year Interest Groups (FIGs), and she also has enjoyed her work with the President's College.
For nearly a decade, Catherine has supported the international efforts of the University community through international faculty development, welcoming international students and encouraging study abroad opportunities as Academic Dean of International Programs.
Throughout the years, Catherine has befriended and mentored many of us. Her dedication, commitment and compassion will surely be missed, and she will keep inspiring us all for years to come.
Please join us at the International Center, GSU 327, on Wednesday, June 17, from noon to 3 p.m., to wish Catherine a relaxing and exciting retirement! Drop in for light refreshments throughout that time.
Please RSVP to Sarah Reuter at reuter@hartford.edu or 768-5100 by June 10.
