Teaching Children About Asthma

Students in the Respiratory Care Program in the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions (ENHP) completed a six-week program during the fall 2004 semester teaching children with asthma about the disease and how to manage it.
The students taught the American Lung Association’s Open Airways Asthma Education program to third-, fourth-, and fifth-graders at the University of Hartford Magnet School and at Hartford’s Milner Elementary School.
