Hartford Courant Features a Column by Architecture Chair Michael Crosbie

Michael Crosbie, chair of CETA's architecture department, wrote a piece that ran in the Hartford Courant's "Commentary" section on June 21. Crosbie calls the new Connecticut Science Center "a dazzling jewel." Read more on courant.com.

A blog posting by Warren Goldstein, chair of the A&S history department, was featured in the June 21 edition of The Huffington Post. Goldstein wrote about New York City politicians and the "nationally embarrassing, politically fraught circus in the New York State Senate." Read the blog on huffingtonpost.com.

Mary Jane Williams, chair of the nursing department, was quoted in the Norwich Bulletin on June 21. Williams commented on the important function of nurses, saying "I don't think society values or understands the role that nurses play in the provision of care in all health care systems." Pat Meiser, University athletics director, was quoted in a blog posting on the Hartford Courant's website. The University was selected to receive $50,000 in marketing money from the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Grant Program. Meiser says "this grant will allow us to continue to help our women's basketball program be one among the tiop programs in the Northeast, both on the court and off." The University's participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program was noted on stamfordplus.com, the website of Stamfordplus magazine.
