Harry Jack Gray Remembered in the Media

The death of Harry Jack Gray, a life regent of the University and the most generous donor in the University's history, attracted extensive media coverage. Gray passed away on July 8 at the age of 89. Laurence Gould, a physics professor in A&S, was profiled in an article on Newsmax.com, a news website, on July 7. Gould says "global cooling and global warming have happened throughout much of the earth's climate history." Read the rest of the story on newsmax.com.

Sarah Sideranko, an incoming first-year student, was profiled in the Hartford Courant on July 8. Sideranko will play golf for the University and plans to major in chemistry. Her ultimate goal is to play on the LPGA tour. Read more about Sideranko on courant.com.

Jennifer Ky, Jonathan Diaz, and Abdullah Emilio Colón, students at the University High School of Science and Engineering, were mentioned in the Hartford Courant's "The Write Stuff" column on July 9. The students were state finalists in the Letters About Literature contest. Read more on courant.com.
