Planned Giving Panels
Posted 7/20/2001
"A session filmed in the University's own Kent and Susan McCray TV Studio features a panel moderated by our Director of Planned Giving, Pete Congleton, with scholarship donor Carol Hunt, estate planning attorney Martin Gould, and Rick Macdonald, Leadership Gift Officer at Bay Path College. The topic is "A Conversation about Leave a Legacy," which is a national marketing effort aimed at encouraging people to have a will or estate plan that leaves something to charity. The second of two 12-minute panels on that topic, the University's panel discusses the estate and gift planning process anecdotally from both the donor's and the professional advisor's perspectives, and tells the story of several people who have made meaningful gift plans to the University and their other favorite charities.
The audio portion of these two panels will be aired in their entirety on WWUH 91.3FM at 12:30pm on Wednesday July 22. The video will be shown on Nutmeg Television's Comcast channel 5 on the My Kind of Town show, Sunday July 26 at 7:30pm. It will also be airing on Charter Public Access Television on Monday, July 27 at 4:30pm, and on Tuesday, July 28 at 7:30pm. For a brief sneak preview you may visit www.hartford.edu/plannedgiving."
