A Big Weekend for Volleyball and Soccer

The women’s volleyball team will host a four-team tournament in the Sports Center this weekend, and the women’s soccer team will play its first two home games of the season.

Come on out this weekend to support the teams and watch some great sports events!

Volleyball
The women’s volleyball team will host St. Francis, Rhode Island and Central Connecticut State University in the Hawks Invitational. All games are free of charge and are held in the Intramural Gym at the Reich Family Pavilion, Sports Center. Following is the schedule of games:

Friday, September 2
Rhode Island vs. Central Connecticut State @ 4:30 p.m.
Hartford vs. St. Francis @ 7 p.m.

Saturday, September 3
Central Connecticut vs. St. Francis @ 11 a.m.
Hartford vs. Rhode Island @ 1:30 p.m.
St. Francis vs. Rhode Island @ 4 p.m.
Hartford vs. Central Connecticut @ 7 p.m.


Soccer
The women’s soccer team will play two home games this weekend.

On Friday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m., the team will play La Salle University. This will be the first game on the new Al-Marzook Field, located behind the Sports Center. Come out and be a part of history! There will be special raffle prizes and giveaways to commemorate the event.

On Sunday, Sept. 4, at 1 p.m., the women’s soccer team will host in-state rival, Fairfield University. That game also will take place at Al-Marzook Field.

All regular season home athletic events are free for University of Hartford students. University of Hartford faculty and staff can purchase soccer tickets for only $3 each.
