Margery Steinberg, associate professor of marketing in the Barney School of Business, was a guest on WNPR's "Where We Live" on Aug. 5. Steinberg spoke about the Upper Albany Micro Business Incubator program and the University of Hartford's partnership with Upper Albany Main Street.
The University of Hartford Magnet School was included in a Hartford Courant article about the Connecticut Academic Performance Test on July 30. The school increased its test scores from last year. Read the article on courant.com.
The University's involvement in the USA Gymnastics 2010 Visa Championships received extensive media coverage. The Chase Arena on campus will host rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, and trampoline and tumbling next summer, while the XL Center will host men's and women's gymnastics. Maria Johnson, an English instructor in Hillyer College, was profiled in the Hartford Courant on July 15. Johnson formed the "Write Your Unemployment Novel" group in June. Members help each other with their writing and offer support and motivation. Read the story on courant.com.
