Important Campus Tour Information

To the University Community,
The campus visit is one of the most important factors that families weigh when deciding which colleges to seriously include on their "short list" of schools. When classes are in session, we offer three student-guided tours each weekday. We are also offering student-guided tours on many Saturdays.
For your general information, here is some basic tour information that you can keep handy for your reference.
Our regular tour and interview schedule goes into effect on September 8th.
– Tours will now be offered at 10:00, 12:00, & 2:00 Monday - Friday.
– Interviews with Admission Counselors are at 9:30, 11:30, 1:30, & 3:30 Monday - Friday.
Tour times during University breaks (holidays, Spring Break & the summer) are 10:00 & 2:00 with interviews at 9:30, 11:30, 1:30, & 3:30 (New University Break Schedule begins August 31st - September 4th)
Saturday Tour Schedule
The Office of Admission and Student Financial Assistance is open on select Saturdays each month. Visitors should check our tour calendars to schedule a Saturday visit at http://admission.hartford.edu/visiting/visitUs.php.
Saturday tours will be held at 11:00 & 12:00 with information sessions at 10:30 & 11:30.
Important Details About General Campus Tours:
– It is a walking tour; visitors should dress and prepare accordingly.
– The length of the tour is approximately 90 minutes.
– Tours are led by current students who are members of our tour guide program known as the "Red Key Society."
– We offer a "general" campus tour, which includes going into a freshman dorm room, the library, the Sports Center, ISET, the Commons, & GSU.
– Those who wish to see specific departments and/or facilities must let us know in advance so we can do our best to coordinate such a request.
– In case of weather cancellations, call 860-768-4100 (If the University is closed, there are NO tours).
– Visitors must register for a tour online at http://admission.hartford.edu/visiting/visitUs.php or by calling 800.947.4303.
– Visitors with mobility concerns should contact our office prior to their visit at: 800-947-4303.
