The Community Division offers a comprehensive array of performing arts activities for students of all ages and every level of experience. Classes begin on Sept. 8 and enrollment continues throughout the year.
Offerings include private lessons in piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, bass, trumpet, horn, trombone, tuba, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone, percussion, harp and guitar. The Community Division has dance classes ranging from children's ballet, modern and hip-hip to adult jazz, tap, Pilates and yoga.
There are also music ensembles for every member of the family, including the Connecticut Children's Chorus (K-12), Concert Strings and Winds (middle school), Adult Chamber Choir and the Joza Karas Adult String Ensemble. New this year for adults is a fun World Drumming class (no experience required) and an Improv and Sketch Comedy workshop (think "Who's Line Is It Anyway").
