The Staff Association is now accepting registrations for membership for the 2009–10 academic year. Membership is available to all non-union staff members, is voluntary and payment of membership dues is no longer required.
Staff can return their completed Membership Registration Forms to their designated Staff Association Community Representative or to Karen Schermerhorn in the Connections Health Education & Wellness Center on the lower level of the University Commons (UC 118).
The purpose of the University of Hartford Staff Association is to represent the rights, needs, interests, and goodwill of the non-union staff at the University of Hartford. Any University staff member who is not a member of a certified bargaining unit can join the Staff Association.
The Staff Association seeks to work collaboratively with other members of the University community to foster a greater sense of shared community. As advocate and contributor, the members of the Staff Association collaborate with their colleagues in the campus community to co-create a greater sense of shared purpose and respect. This commitment to our shared learning community at the University of Hartford serves to inform and guide the work of the association.
The University of Hartford Staff Association serves as an advocate for University staff members. The Staff Association is committed to a culture of respect in an environment fostering professional success in accordance with the mission of the University of Hartford.
