The concept behind FSAE is that a fictional manufacturing company has contracted a design team to develop an open wheel, Formula-style race car. The prototype they develop is to be evaluated for its potential as a production item and as a sound business investment.
Hartford Motorsports is the University of Hartford’s answer to the FSAE competition. We are a student-run manufacturing company producing prototype race cars to compete in this challenging, exciting competition. Our responsibilities and tasks encompass all aspects of the automotive industry, including research, design, manufacturing, testing, marketing, management and finances (not to mention driving).
We are actively searching for any students who are interested in applying their skills to any facet of the business. No prior experience is needed.
We hope that you will take part in this unique, challenging, and valuable experience. It is the only competition of its type on the collegiate level that sees competitors from across the globe.
