The prize winners at Leadership Quest included (l-r) Kiayani Douglas, Alexander Schetfino, Bryan Lewis, and Anas Belgou.
More than 90 students participated and enhanced their leadership skills at “Leadership Quest 2009: Jump into Leadership” on Oct. 17, and this year’s participants agreed it was the best conference yet.

The day featured Ed Gerety, a nationally known speaker, and 15 presentations on various leadership topics. During lunch the students took advantage of the first-ever Leadership Fair, where they found out valuable information on various leadership positions throughout campus.

At the closing ceremony there was a raffle for University polo shirts, gift cards, and a Nintendo Wii. The winners were Kiayani Douglas, Alexander Schetfino, Anas Belgou, John Grant, and Bryan Lewis. To encourage participation by student organizations, a pizza celebration was offered to the student organization with the most members in attendance. We are pleased to announce that the Campus Activities Team (CAT) won this prize!

Next year’s Leadership Quest is already being planned – the date is Oct. 23, 2010. Mark your calendars, we will see you there!
