Sarah Larsen, a fifth-year student at The Hartt School who is studying violin, won $25,000 as a contestant on the daytime version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. Larsen appeared on episodes that aired on Tuesday, Nov. 3, and Wednesday, Nov. 4, on FOX-61.

Larsen walked away with $25,000 in winnings after incorrectly guessing the answer to the $50,000 question. Larsen's $50,000 question was: “Before he became a legendary Wild West gunslinger, John “Doc” Holliday earned his nickname as what type of doctor? A: Optometrist, B: Podiatrist, C: Dentist, D: Veterinarian.” Larsen guessed the answer to be “A,” but the correct answer was “C.”

It's been a busy time for Larsen -- The same day that she got her first four-star professional review for the violin, Larsen also got a call from Who Wants To Be A Millionaire to see if she'd be available to come and tape an episode of the show. The day of the taping, after she was done at the Millionaire set, Larsen had to make her way over to Carnegie Hall to rehearse with her string quartet!

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, hosted by Meredith Vieira, premiered its eighth season in syndication this fall.
