The Hartford Courant and NBC Connecticut ran stories about the University donating five computers to the Blue Hills branch of the Hartford Public Library. These computers will replace the ones thieves recently stole from the branch. In an article published in the Courant on Nov. 7, Geraldine Sullivan, president of the library's board of directors, said "there's a tremendous need in that neighborhood and this helps a lot of kids. It really shows the university's commitment."

A Courant editorial on Nov. 10 called the University "a good neighbor" and said the computer donations show "the University's attention to its surroundings creates a better quality of life for everybody." Spokesman Dave Isgur said the University "believes strongly in being a good neighbor...when we got a request from one of our neighbors, we did what we could to help." NBC Connecticut mentioned the University's donation on its website on Nov. 9.

Hartt School Dean Aaron Flagg was a guest on WDRC-AM's "Brad Davis Show" on Wednesday, Nov. 11. Flagg will talked about what's happening at The Hartt School, including this weekend's annual gala.

C.L. "Ox" Gara, who works in Hartt Performance Services, was featured in the Hartford Courant on Nov. 3. Gara is a drum major in the Manchester Regional Police & Fire Pipe Band, which will perform at the Fulda Military Tattoo in Fulda, Germany on Nov. 13 and 14. Read the article on courant.com.
