CTNewsJunkie.com Publisher Speaks to Students

On Tuesday, Oct. 27, Christine Stuart of CTNewsJunkie.com spoke to communication students and faculty members about her online business.

As the owner of an independent online news site, she is publisher, editor, reporter and photographer, covering stories about Connecticut politics, business and more.

Stuart told the audience that the mission of CTNewsJunkie.com is to "close the coverage gap that exists as mainstream news organizations continue to shed reporters."

In addition to showing sample stories and talking about the details of reporting them, she described some of the nuts and bolts of creating and sustaining an online news site.
