University High School Students Featured on NBC Connecticut

Students from the University High School of Science and Engineering were featured on NBC Connecticut on Dec. 21. The story focused on Jennifer Ky of Hartford, Josh Sibblies of Windsor, and Katie Allsop of Bolton, who were all recently accepted into MIT early decision. Watch the story on nbcconnecticut.com.
Nikkia Smith, a member of the women's basketball team, was profiled in the Hartford Courant on Dec. 20. Smith spoke about the death of her father and how it has influenced her basketball career. "It was tough but I think I became a better athlete for it because I put so much time and dedication into being on the court," said Smith. "When I was on the court, I didn't think of anything else."
