Global Technology Demonstration, Session on Credit Card Fraud

The Purchasing Department invites faculty and staff to a "Breakfast & Learn" program, featuring an interactive global technology demonstration and a session on credit card fraud.
DATE: January 13, 2010
LOCATION: Wilde Auditorium
TIME: 8:45 a.m. to noon
9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. – The Barney School will showcase its interactive global technology from multiple locations for the Connecticut Colleges Purchasing Group and University of Hartford faculty and staff. They will connect to a class session in China, discuss an international business competition, and explain the technology being used. If you have a wireless laptop or wifi device, video streaming will be available.
10:30 a.m. to noon – Bank of America and MasterCard will discuss the fraud challenges we face as credit card holders, such as securing your credit card, the magnetic stripe, consumer vs commercial card, compromised cards, lost or stolen cards, and trends/updates on fraud.
Rolls and Coffee will be served.
