John Kniering, director of Career Services, was a guest on WTIC-AM's "Mornings with Ray Dunaway" on Friday, Jan. 8. Kniering discussed the industries that he believes will survive and provide jobs during the recession. Listen to the interview.
Richard Freund, professor and director of the University's Maurice Greenberg Center for Judaic Studies, was featured in a story in El Pais, one of the largest newspapers in Spain. The article, which was published on Saturday, Jan. 2, talked about Freund's upcoming archaeological project in Spain, which is joint venture with National Geographic magazine, to uncover the ancient city of Tartessos, which other researchers have said is the site of the lost city of Atlantis.
