Barney Student Matthew Cosenza Featured in the Valley Press

Matthew Cosenza, a student in the Barney School of Business, was profiled in The Valley Press on Jan. 7. Cosenza talked about his winning entry in the Barney's School's Business Plan Competition. He said to be a young entrepreneur "you need to have that drive and not be bothered if someone shoots you down. If you don't have the determination, you can't survive. You need to be passionate and put your heart into it."
Stass Shpanin, a student in the Hartford Art School, was named one of the 2009 "Movers & Shakers" by the Jewish Ledger's Western Mass. edition. At the age of 12, Shpanin was listed in the Guiness Book of World Records as the youngest professional artist in the world. Read the story on http://jewishledger.com/western_mass/.
Joseph D'Eugenio, an alumnus of The Hartt School, was profiled in the New Haven Register on Jan. 6. D'Eugenio was recently named the 2009 Choir Director of the Year by the Connecticut chapter of the American Choral Directors Association.
