Budget Office to Begin Work on FY2011 Budget
Please be advised that the FY2010 budget will be "rolled" to the FY2011 working budget during the week of January 25-29.
What this means is that when the budget is rolled, a snapshot of the existing FY2010 budget becomes the FY2011 base budget. All BD04 and BD05, temporary budget changes, made as of the budget roll date, will be instructed by the process to return the funds back in FY2011 to the org and subaccount from which they were originally moved. On the other hand, all permanent budget changes as of the budget roll date, such as F240, F241, and F244s, will be instructed by the process to leave the funds in the org and sub account to which they were initially moved. This will not impact the FY2010 budget, only the FY2011 base budget.
In light of this, please process all permanent budget changes by January 25. Budget revisions that require Budget Office approval should be submitted as soon as possible to allow sufficient processing time prior to the scheduled budget roll.
After the budget is rolled, the Budget Office will announce the date in UNotes.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Melissa McCaw, Budget Director, at ext. 4153, or Lori Holden, Financial Analyst, at ext. 4345.
