Martin Luther King Day Observance Featured in the Hartford Courant

The University's Martin Luther King Jr. observance was included in the Hartford Courant's coverage of the holiday. The article mentioned the performance by students at the University of Hartford Magnet Elementary School and the speech by Denise Nappier, state treasurer. Read the story on courant.com.

University President Walter Harrison was quoted in USA Today on Jan. 18. Harrison has been mentioned as a possible candidate for NCAA president. He said the hope is to have somebody in place by the summer. "That means they have to name somebody toward the end of spring...I think it'll go pretty fast," Harrison told the paper. John Feierabend, director of Hartt Musical Education, will be a guest on "The Parent's Journal with Bobbi Conner," a show that airs on radio stations around the country, on Jan 20. Demetrios Giannaros, an economics professor in the Barney School of Business, was interviewed on WTIC-AM's "Mornings with Ray Dunaway" on Jan. 11. Giannaros discussed the unemployment situation, the future conditions of our economy and bank landing.
