Robert Edward Smith’s Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp will be performed on April 28, 2005, in Córdoba, Spain, as part of a chamber music series sponsored by CajaSur, a Spanish banking firm that is a major supporter of the arts.
The sonata will be performed by the Trio Zahira: Wendela van Swol, flute; Nelson Armitano, viola; and Laura Hernandez, harp.
Robert Edward Smith, associate in harpsichord at The Hartt School, has been composer-in-residence at the Trinity College Chapel in Hartford since 1979.
