The University's women's basketball team was the subject of an editorial in the Hartford Courant on Feb. 24. The Courant said the team's top 25 ranking is "a remarkable achievement, but not a surprising one. The program has been steadily improving for the past several years under Coach Jennifer Rizzotti. The Hawks have won at least 20 games in each of the past six seasons, and has knocked off national powers such as Duke and Louisville." Read the rest of the editorial on courant.com.
Yung Chen, a 2009 graduate of the Hartford Art School's limited residency MFA in Illustration program, was profiled in southern New Hampshire's Hippo magazine. Chen said the program helped him because "anything that you dream about that you never have the time or had the encouragement or maybe had the space away from your routine work ... you'll be able to be away from that ... so you'll be able to think, focus on the dream project," Chen said. Chen recently wrote and illustrated a children's book called The Gift. Read more about Chen on hippopress.com.
