Harrison Opinion Piece in the Courant, Gort and Steen on CPTV, Thomson in the Courant
In an opinion piece in the Hartford Courant’s “Commentary” section on March 28, University President Walter Harrison talked about the need for college presidents, athletics directors, coaches and the media to commit the energy and resources to help women's basketball reach the heights that men's basketball has. Echoing comments made by UConn women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma, Harrison wrote,"If we invest wisely in women's basketball, and the media does the same, we can make women's basketball a revenue sport, too."
