Churchill on CNN, University High School on NBC Connecticut and WFSB, Physical Therapy Student in the Daily Hampshire Gazette
Robert Churchill, associate professor of history in Hillyer College, was a guest on CNN's "Campbell Brown" show on Monday, April 19. Churchill talked about militia movements in the United States.
CNN also has a video of Churchill on its website. In that video, Churchill explains how the Tea Party and other similar movements have entered the mainstream. Watch it on cnn.com.
A program featuring former engineers from Hamilton Sundstrand talking to students at the University High School of Science and Engineering on to mark the 40th anniversary of the troubled Apollo 13 mission was highlighted on NBC Connecticut and WFSB-TV Channel 3 on April 16. Tom Filburn, an associate professor in the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture and director of the CT Space Grant Consortium (which is based at the University of Hartford) was interviewed by NBC Connecticut about the importance of getting young people interested in space, engineering and the kinds of problem-solving that was required to save the astronauts on Apollo 13.
The April 15 edition of the Daily Hampshire Gazette featured a story and photos of six children from Haiti being helped in their recovery from injuries suffered in the earthquake there by nurses and physical therapists at Shriners Hospital for Children in Springfield, Mass. One of those working with the children is Amanda "Mandi" Skuse, who is in her final year in the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions Doctoral Studies in Physical Therapy program. Skuse is completing a clinical internship at Shriners Hospital. Check out the story and the photo gallery on gazettenet.com.

The University of Hartford was one of 10 sites around the state that were hosting walks on Sunday, April 18, to raise funds to help fight MS, and NBC Connecticut filmed part of the Walk.
