University in Kiplinger, Gaspar on Two Sports Websites
The University is mentioned in an article in the latest issue of Kilpinger, which names the top 10 “Best Cities for the Next Decade.” West Hartford is ninth on the list. The magazine cites the University as West Hartford’s biggest employer. Read the article on Kiplinger.com.
Men’s soccer coach Dan Gaspar was profiled on the Sportsnet (a Canadian sports network) website on May 20. Gaspar is on the coaching staff of the Portuguese National Team that is playing in the World Cup. Gaspar said, "I really don't believe we are in the "Group of Death." I believe they are all groups of death. I believe any team is capable. You have the Brazils, Italys and Argentinas who have a history and will more than likely be a factor but then there are always surprises at a World Cup.” Read the rest of the story on sportsnet.ca.
Gaspar is also writing a blog during his time at the World Cup. His latest posting appeared on goal.com on May 26. Gaspar wrote, “To succeed in South Africa, it’s not enough to just dream about a good world cup.
