Vasquez in Crain's Business Detroit, Harrison on WNYT-TV, UHSSE Student in the Courant
The hiring of Sharon Vasquez as University provost was featured in Crain’s Detroit Business on June 10. In the article, Vasquez says, “As I look forward to new set of responsibilities at the University of Hartford, I remain appreciative of the relationships built at Wayne State University and the collective accomplishments of this fine institution.” Read the rest of the story on crainsdetroit.com.

Jennifer Ky, a senior at the University High School of Science and Engineering, was profiled in the Courant on June 15. Ky, who was accepted to Harvard, MIT and Yale, will attend Yale in the fall. Jennifer said "her years at the high school, created as a partnership between the Hartford school system and the University of Hartford, helped prepare her for college, in part because she could take college courses at UHart." University President Walter Harrison and Director of Athletics Patricia Meiser were quoted on the website of News Channel 13 in Albany. An interview with Philip Lamar Boykin, a 1995 graduate of The Hartt School, was featured in the Hartford Courant on June 4. Boykin is part of a touring production of “Porgy and Bess” that recently played at the Bushnell Center.
