Harrison Cited as Influential by Hartford Magazine, Morrison Directs a Steve Martin Play, and More

University President Walter Harrison was named one of “Hartford’s 50 Most Influential People” by Hartford Magazine in its September 2010 issue. This marks the third year in a row that President Harrison has been named to this list. The magazine notes that “Walter Harrison has been president of the University of Hartford during a period of tremendous growth and vitality.” To read more, go to Hartford Magazine.

Also, President Harrison and Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center President and CEO Christopher Dadlez appeared in a photograph in the “Flash” section of Hartford Magazine’s Septermber 2010 issue. The photograph was taken at the June 24 ceremony marking the signing of an affiliation agreement between the two institutions.

Malcolm Morrison, University Professor of Theatre and former dean of The Hartt School, was highlighted in an article in the Aug. 18 issue of New Hampshire Magazine. Morrison is directing Picasso at the Lapin Agile, which opens August 24 at the New London Barn Playhouse. Picasso at the Lapin Agile, which depicts Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso spending a hilarious evening discussing life and art in one of Paris’ oldest and most eccentric bohemian cafes, is the first full-length play written by actor and comedian Steve Martin.
