John Ramsey, general manager of WWUH radio (91.3 FM), has been appointed to the Connecticut Broadcasters Association's Emergency Alert System (EAS) Committee.
The Connecticut Broadcasters Association (www.ctba.org) is a nonprofit organization representing the state's radio and television broadcasters. WWUH is a member of the association. The EAS Committee works with the Connecticut State Police and the state's Office of Emergency Management to oversee the dissemination by broadcasters of emergency information, including severe weather warnings and "AMBER Alerts" in child abduction cases.
