GIPP Well-Represented at CPA Meeting

The university's Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology (GIPP) made a strong showing at the recent annual meeting of the Connecticut Psychological Association (CPA).

At the meeting, it was announced that John G. Mehm, associate director of GIPP, was chosen as president-elect of the psychological association. Mehm will serve as president-elect for 2006 and as CPA president for 2007 and 2008. ( See article, “Mehm Chosen President-Elect of CPA” )

In addition, GIPP Visiting Assistant Professor Anne Pidano received CPA's award for Distinguished Contribution to the Practice of Psychology.

GIPP Associate Professor Kathy McCloskey and adjunct clinical faculty member Richard Stillson presented a workshop panel at the annual meeting on "Same Sex Relationships."

GIPP Associate Director Donna DiCello is a member of the Connecticut Psychological Association’s Ethnic Diversity Task Force and chair of the Scholarship Subcommittee of that group.
