Two home games against Brown and Stony Brook, both 2010 NCAA Tournament teams, highlight the 2011 University of Hartford men’s lacrosse schedule, as announced by head coach Peter Lawrence. The Hawks will play a 15-game slate in 2011 that includes seven home dates.

The Hawks kick off the regular season against the Massachusetts Minutemen at Al-Marzook Field on Saturday, February 19. America East play begins on March 30 when the Hawks travel to Albany to take on the Great Danes. Additional conference road tilts include Vermont (April 16) and Binghamton (April 23).
Hartford hosts Stony Brook, another member of last year’s national field, on April 9 under the lights of Alumni Stadium, marking the first night game in seven years played on the turf of Al-Marzook Field. The Seawolves, who came within one goal of reaching the NCAA Final Four last season, are ranked eighth in a pair of preseason polls.
The 2011 edition of the Hartford Hawks returns all but one starter including four of its top five scorers from last year’s team, which finished 4-10 and posted the most wins since the 2003 campaign.
