Our Goals
Each year, we challenge ourselves to raise additional funds for the University of Hartford through its alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff, students, foundations, and corporations. These funds allow the University to provide exceptional programs that might not have been possible through a standard operating budget. A strong Anchor Fund provides consistent support through any economic circumstances. The Anchor Fund supports where the need is the greatest for every student every day.

This fiscal year, 2010 (July 1, 2009–June 30, 2010), we have challenged ourselves to raise $1,100,000 for the Anchor Fund from alumni, parents, and friends of the University. We believe this is a reasonable and attainable goal.

Only $989,031 to go! Have you made your Anchor Fund gift?

Your participation matters because . . .
  • Every gift makes a difference. Alumni participation is one of the things that ranking organizations such as U.S. News and World Report use to rank colleges and universities. Your participation increases the University's participation rate, which increases the way the University is ranked, making your degree more valuable to prospective employers.
  • Some corporations and foundations request constituent participation rates before making decisions on granting opportunities.
  • More than 7,000 full- and part-time students count on unrestricted scholarships to allow them to focus on their academics instead of worrying about part-time jobs or unmanageable student loan debt.
  • Faculty, staff, and students rely on the University's fundraising efforts to expand their education and provide meaningful, real-world experiences that would not be possible through a standard operating budget.
