Budget Justification
The budget justification is a narrative that describes the line items included in your budget. The information in this narrative is key and is often the information review panels and administrative officials at funding agencies use to determine the level of funding for an otherwise meritorious proposal.

Justification for all the items is required in sufficient detail to establish:
  • Need for the item;
  • How much of the item is required proportional to the project;
  • Salary/material escalation.
