About Our Gift Calculator
This is one of the easiest and smartest ways to make a testamentary gift to the University of Hartford. You can designate to the University of Hartford any portion of your retirement plan to be distributed by the plan provider upon your death or the death of your surviving spouse.

Simply contact your retirement plan provider (e.g., TIAA-CREF) and fill out a new "Designation of Beneficiary" form, specifying as Primary or Contingent beneficiary the University of Hartford, a named endowed fund at the University of Hartford, or a Charitable Remainder Trust that will benefit the University of Hartford after providing an income stream to your heirs.

The University's Office of Planned Giving is standing by to answer any questions you may have about this process. Please contact the director of Planned Giving for a confidential conversation.

Please note that the University of Hartford does not provide tax or legal advice. Gift calculations may be provided for illustrative purposes only, and the actual values may vary based on the timing and nature of your gift. Advice from legal and tax counsel should be sought when considering a charitable gift of any kind.
