
On Sunday, May 16, the University of Hartford welcomed its last visitors to
American Originals: Treasures from the National Archives. This remarkable exhibition of historic documents from the National Archives had been at the university since early February. The University of Hartford was the eighth and final stop on a three-year national tour. Close to 18,000 visitors came to see the exhibition in Hartford, which was complemented by
Connecticut Originals representing ideas, personalities and inventions that Connecticut introduced to the world.
The American Originals exhibit was created by the National Archives and Records Administration, Washington, D.C., and The Foundation for the National Archives. The exhibition in Hartford was made possible by United Technologies Corporation.
