The volunteers of UHA's SART are there to listen, to care and assist
you with resources. Our services are available to men as well as
women. You may also call us if you wish to help someone you know who
has been assaulted. The group is comprised of volunteer members of
the University of Hartford faculty and staff.
Many individuals who experience sexual misconduct don't tell anyone
about it at the time of the incident. Even if it happened weeks or
years ago, assistance is still available. Talking with someone now
may help you cope better with trauma from the past. Advocates are
trained to be knowledgeable about all aspects of sexual assault. If
you wish, s/he can meet you on campus to speak to you personally.
