WELFund: Share the legacy. Shape the future.


The Women’s Education and Leadership Fund was established in 2006 to foster and support University of Hartford initiatives to:

• Enhance the education of women
• Advance women as scholars and as the subject of scholarship
• Cultivate and sustain women’s leadership skills
• Increase awareness about women as individuals and in communities.

Rooted in the deep and lasting history of the Hartford College for Women, the fund will benefit women in all their diversity through the provision of grants to students, staff and faculty of the University of Hartford, and will promote collaboration within and beyond the University.
