Proposal narrative: Please type a narrative response addressing the following questions.

1. Write an overview of your project. Describe fully the roles of all participants, and the nature of grant activities. (750 word limit)

  • Enhance the education of women
  • Advance women as scholars and as the subject of scholarship
  • Cultivate and sustain women’s leadership skills
  • Increase awareness about women as individuals and in communities

4. What would success look like for this initiative, and how will this be measured?

5. How will you disseminate the results of your work? (Examples include: conference presentations, publications, lunchtime talks, articles in UNotes or Informer)

6. Provide explanation of grant expenditures as they relate to specific grant activities and over-all purpose.

Partnership information (If applicable): Community partners must submit a letter of commitment on organizational letterhead, and any University faculty or staff designated as project partners or participants—but not serving as primary applicants—must articulate their commitment in an attached email or letter. Detailed budget overview: Estimate all project expenses by major category, indicating those funds to be provided by WELFund as well as those potentially supported by additional co-sponsors. Examples of expense categories include materials and supplies, equipment, honoraria, special project salary support*, travel, meeting and conference expenses. Use the budget form to outline project costs and anticipated contributions.

*Please budget a University fringe benefit contribution of 7.65% of any salary for faculty and staff. For example, a special project salary of $2500 should have an added $191.25 included in the total budget to accommodate this University expense. The budget form provides a formula to automatically calculate this addition.
