The Hursey Center

Now open, the Hursey Center is our new 60,000-square foot academic building that houses state-of-the-art labs and learning spaces for growing programs in the College of ENHP. Facilities include nursing simulation suites, a motion analysis/kinesiology lab, occupational therapy skills lab, and physical therapy labs.

Duffy Felmlee

Rehabilitation Sciences

Duffy Felmlee, associate professor of rehabilitation sciences, works with the Combat Wounded Veterans' Challenge to study the use of prosthetics while scuba diving. He notes that this kind of aquatic rehabilitation offers significant social and physiological benefits to veterans with lower-limb amputations.

Integrated Elementary/Special Education

Cianna was hired before graduation as a special education teacher at Betances Learning Lab Magnet School in Hartford. As a graduate of UHart's Integrated Elementary and Special Education program, she earned two teaching certifications and experienced many different types of schools and grade levels in her fieldwork and student teaching placements.
